Teleconference “Speak Greek in March” 2017!
In the framework of the campaign We Speak Greek in March, Greek Lessons OnLine is organizing for the third consecutive year Teleconferences with greek students aged 14+ from all around the world. The teleconferences will be held on Sunday, 19th of March 2017, from 11:00-12:00pm and from 19:00-20:00 (Athens local time). This year we have decided to run two different events to make it possible for more people to participate. During the teleconferences the participants will be involved in fun language activities but we are mainly aiming to introduce and connect greek students who share the same love for the Greek language, even though they live hundreds of miles apart. Participation is free and there is a limited number of spots available. Students aged 14+ of the greek diaspora who live in the USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia can take part. Participants need to be able to speak basic Greek.

“Speak Greek in March” campaign
The initiative started in 2015 by individuals and representatives of literary and cultural organisations within the Greek community of Melbourne, Australia. The organising committee’s policy is to encourage the various stakeholders to initiate, develop and implement activities appropriate to their own fields of endeavour, which promote the Greek language. For example, schools which teach Greek may organise competitions, celebrations, debates, lectures and special projects related to the Greek language during March (but also throughout the year). The campaign has been promoted on the Media in Europe, Australia and the USA drawing the attention of more and more people every year. For the purposes of this special campaign, Greek LOL is opening the doors of its online classes to welcome greek students from all over the planet. The only requirement for participation is the love and passion about Greece and the greek language.
